Our services

The following is a list of services to the Cheboygan County senior citizens available through both of our centers.

Home delivered meals

Each year, more than 40,000 hot, nutritional, frozen, and liquid meals are delivered to the homebound seniors unable to prepare their own meals. As the meals are delivered each day, it allows us a way of checking on the frail and elderly to make sure they are safe.

Congregate meals

More than 50,000 nutritionally balanced meals are provided each year to senior citizens in Cheboygan County through our (2) senior citizen centers located in Cheboygan and Wolverine. Each center provides an opportunity for seniors to socialize and participate in various programs, activities and services while enjoying a delicious meal. Meals are offered five days per week for a suggested donation.

Personal care, in home service

An aide will help a client with personal grooming such as hair washing, bathing, dressing, simple meal preparation, changing bed linens, and laundry.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping services are provided to seniors unable to perform household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and shopping.

Respite care

Respite services are provided to relieve a caregiver for two or three hours during the day to give the caregiver a chance to provide for themselves.

Senior companion program

A senior companion volunteer will visit, play cards or games, make telephone calls, write letters, start a meal, and take a client shopping or to the senior center for various activities.
